Saving Lives in South Sudan

South Sudan is the world’s newest country - and one of its most forgotten conflicts. Although a shaky peace now holds and the warring factions have set their weapons aside, the scale of humanitarian suffering in that country defies belief.

About the Film

South Sudan is the world’s newest country - and one of its most forgotten conflicts. Although a shaky peace now holds and the warring factions have set their weapons aside, the scale of humanitarian suffering in that country defies belief.

Addressing these humanitarian needs is a challenge of almost herculean proportions for the aid community. In a country under almost constant threat of famine and with just a few hundred kilometres of paved roads and where helicopters remain virtually the only way of moving goods and personnel, saving lives is a race against time.
