Like many of Brazil's indigenous tribes, the Kiriri were driven off their land by European settlers and sentenced to a life of penury on the margins of society. But unlike so many other tribes, the Kiriri refused to give up and finally won back their land rights, UN IFAD stepped in to help them restore their livelihoods - and their pride.
